Fishing

The famous waters of the Gulf of Mexico offer a variety of opportunities including deep-sea fishing, inshore fishing, bottom fishing, freshwater and bayou fishing.

Golf

Panama City Beach boasts five championship golf courses. Greens fees are affordable and our tee times are available all year-long. 

 

Bay Point Marriott Golf Club is home to the famous Lagoon Legends golf course by Nicklaus Design team and the Meadow Course, which offers players plenty of challenge and consistent demand for length, accuracy and playing strategy. The Nicklaus Course at Bay Point is the first and only Nicklaus Designed course in Northwest Florida.

 

The Holiday Golf Club is a semi-private, 18-hole par 72 Championship Course. The Greens were designed to challenge even the most experienced short game artist. Holiday Greens is the only lighted nine-hole, par-3 course with a lighted driving range.

 

Hombre Golf Club offers "the Good, the Bad & the Ugly" - The newest addition, the "Good" nine holes (3170 yards, par 35) was added to go along with the original "Bad" and "Ugly" nines. With 27 holes, Hombre can give you three different 18 hole options. Both scenic and challenging, Hombre is nestled amidst wetlands, lakes & preserves, and is beautifully framed with a stunning assortment of palms, pines & azaleas.

 

Signal Hill Golf Course offers breathtaking scenery mixed with challenging greens and precise fairways designed to complete the perfect golfing experience. Golfers can visit the pro shop or visit the Signal Hill snack bar after a great day on the course.

 

Outdoor Recreation

Econfina Creek is one of the most outstanding waterways in the state. With most of its banks under public ownership, paddling down the creek is truly a wild experience, with few signs of human habitation and an abundance of wildlife and native vegetation. Visitors can enjoy a paddle trip or foot trip on the Florida National Scenic Trail which follows the creek banks crossing it twice on handmade footbridges.

 

Frank Brown Park features more than 200 acres of parkland that is dedicated to outdoor recreation facilities at neighborhood and community parks surrounding the beaches. The playgrounds, picnic areas, saltwater fishing pier, freshwater youth fishing lake, greenways and trails are open to the public year round.

 

St. Andrews State Park is well known for its sugar white sands and emerald green waters with one-and-a-half miles of beaches on the Gulf of Mexico and Grand Lagoon. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, & canoeing. Two fishing piers, a jetty, and a boat ramp provide ample fishing. Nature trails wind through a rich diversity of coastal plant communities - a splendid opportunity for bird-watching.
