The holiday season is over, and we’re now in the stretch of the year that somehow feels longer than it actually is. To get through the cold and dark winter, book a vacation to Panama City Beach for some sun and sand. Aqua Gulf sits right along the Gulf of Mexico and offers luxurious accommodations with tons of amenities. This time of year is perfect for the whirlpool grotto, indoor pool, and aromatherapy steam and treatment room. You’ll also be near all the best attractions and things to do from Aqua.

February in Panama City Beach offers perfect weather for spending time outdoors. While it might be a bit cold for sunbathing and swimming, the average temperature of 66 degrees is ideal for activities and recreation. Be sure to bring along layers when you’re visiting Panama City Beach in February, as it is possible to experience cold snaps.

Whether the temperature is just perfect while you’re here or it’s a bit chillier than normal, you can rest assured that it will remain higher than northern states. Plus, there’s so much to do both inside and out. Use our guide to plan the perfect Panama City Beach vacation.

Panama City Beach Nature Preserves and Parks

February is a great time of the year to visit nature preserves and parks in the Panama City Beach region. Camp Helen State Park and St. Andrews State Park are two of the most beautiful parks to hike or bike. Many trails are accessible for all levels and ages. Gayle’s Trails, Conservation Park, and Camp Helen State Park are all just north of PCB, and St. Andrews State Park and Gator Lake are just south. All these parks are within a 30-minute drive of Aqua Resort.

Mardi Gras Celebration

Panama City Beach might not be first to mind when you think about Mardi Gras, but it hosts a huge party on February 21-22 in celebration. Events and activities take place at Pier Park, the Grand Theater Plaza, Celebration Field, Frank Brown Park, Aaron Bessant Park, and Russell-Fields City Park. Listen to festive live music, watch family-friendly parades, run in the 5k and fun run, and catch the nightly fireworks displays.

Golf

The weather in February is also perfect for golf. The Holiday Golf Club, Signal Hill Golf Course, Nature Walk Golf Course, and Panama Country Club are all nearby. Holiday Golf Club was redesigned in 2014 with brand new greens and turf to offer ideal conditions year-round. Signal Hill Golf Course sits just across the street from the beach and has great views and conditions for all levels. Panama Country Club and Nature Walk Golf Club are both technically located in nearby Lynn Haven, and they are both about 40 minutes from Aqua. Play with the locals at these courses.
